CAREER EXPERIENCE
LAKEVIEW PANTRY, Director of Development 2017 - 2020
• Oversaw the development and execution of all fundraising, marketing and communication efforts for the Pantry.
• Grew unrestricted revenue by 122% over the last three fiscal years, more than doubled revenue from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
• Developed a culture of stewardship and donor engagement that resulted in a 78% donor retention rate over the last three years.
• Served as a member of the Leadership Team, developed and implemented 5-year strategic plan for growth which increased pantry services by 25% in its first year and has led to the opening of two additional sites.
• Worked with individual, corporate and foundation funders to develop out three newest programs, the Online Market, our Senior Pop-Up Pantry, and the school pantry at Passages Charter School.
• Oversaw the development department database migration from eTapestry to Salesforce
• Integral part of two capital campaigns that raised more than $5 million in total revenue for the purchase and build-out of two buildings.
• Served as a staff liaison to the Board of Directors Development Committee including creating presentations, quarterly data analysis, and meeting management.
• Implemented rules and protocol for data base management and maintenance, execution and tracking of agreements, tax receipting and processing of gifts.
• Managed operational functions of the development department including budget preparation and tracking, monthly forecasting by revenue stream, preparation of policies and procedures, and execution of donor agreements in order to improve quality and maintain regulatory compliance.
LAKEVIEW PANTRY, Development Manager 2015 – 2017
• Managed grants portfolio of 50 active grants and 100 prospective grantors, including vetting prospective grantors, writing proposals, managing reporting requirements and overseeing calendar
• Lead logistics for eight annual direct mail appeals, including list management, mail house coordination, and tracking appeal results to compare returns
• Manage portfolio of major donors, ensure stewardship and maintain 75% donor retention rates on an annual basis.
• Reconciled all income received monthly, quarterly and annually. Maintained 100% accuracy with finance department
• Track all department expenses and report to reconcile with organizational budget.
LAKEVIEW PANTRY, Development Associate 2013 – 2015
• Processed gifts, including timely data entry of checks and credit card donations and preparation of acknowledgment letters.
• Reconciled all income received monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Maintained integrity and security of confidential donor database and its records according to organization policies and procedures; recommend database protocols.
WOMEN’S GLOBAL EDUCATION PROJECT, Program Officer 2011 – 2013
• Oversaw all daily office functions; including, social media updates, donor correspondence, website maintenance and updates through Word Press, training/overseeing interns and volunteers, other operational tasks as needed by Executive Director
• Planned all aspects of the annual fundraiser Ndajee; including donations, guest list and event details.
• Oversaw Girls in School program and worked with Africa based staff to ensure student recruitment, build local community partnership to maintain program growth.
